Used Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Fresno

Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also known as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used to move products and supplies around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump that can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.

To prevent loosing control while raising heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated with care. Equipment should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.

On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop to be able to release the air in the pump and lower the forks. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be centered in order to guarantee equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.

Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly dangerous to push the pallet ahead of you because the momentum can cause it to lose control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
