A type of machine in the material handling industry that could be utilized to raise and move loads from one place to another is known as a forklift. Every component of a forklift has a particular function. Different parts could be used to transport the load either horizontally or vertically.

Mast
The forklift mast refers to all the parts that lift and lower the load. There are various types of masts used for lifting loads to various heights: quad, simplex, duplex and triplex.

Power Supply
Forklifts have four various ways of being powered: gas, electric, propane and diesel. The battery is located within the cab underneath the seat. The propane tank is on the rear of the truck. The fuel tank on gas and diesel forklifts is under the rear of the truck.

Cab

Frame
The truck frame carries all the biggest parts of the forklift, including the counterweights, that are situated at the rear so as to stop the truck from tipping when loaded. The frame includes the overhead guard that protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the axles, wheels and driveshaft.
