Engineered for Safety
Yale has a great history for providing safe lift trucks that are suitable for a variety of applications. The ability to design and make models for enhanced safety comes from the new technology that is available in the material handling business and the company's experience.
Yale likes to incorporate new technology that is available into their latest designs. Some of the new technologies which are available are initially applied to forklift trucks and then later proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company performs numerous reliability development and controlled field tests in order to make certain that their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology that has been integrated as standard features for their fleet in order to improve overall safety comprise the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The ergonomics in the operator compartment along with the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids heavy repetitive motions as well as fatigue. These extra comforts help to increase overall productivity.
Adjustable Operators Compartment and Controls
Having adjustable operator's compartment and controls enables the necessary controls to be able to be positioned in close proximity to a huge range of operators. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Prior to beginning their shift, the operator can make certain he or she is as comfortable as he or she can be.
Operator Presence System
The Operator Presence System prevents the hydraulic system operation from being used if the operator is not in the correct operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on IC engine truck models.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The drop-down design brings the liquid propane gas tank out from the protected center of the truck and down to the operator's natural handling position making the tank easier to change.
